Let yourself be seduced by the wealth of flora and fauna that characterise the southern Ardèche.

Description

Start at the lime tree, on the descent between the church and the chemist's shop.  Follow the signs through the village.

1.  Le Lavoir: [Montréal 3.4 km] Follow the road, then continue along the stream, passing under the bridge.

2.  La Calade: [Montréal 2.9 km] Walk along the Toufache to the "Chapeau du Gendarme", where you can stop for a break. Then climb up through the terraces on your right as far as the house, take the dirt track on the right for 20m, turn right for 10n and you will find a rupestrian gully. Return to the original path and after 130m, turn left onto the stony track.

3.  Le Monteil: [Toufache 0.9 km, Montréal 4.6 km] Take the very narrow track on your left that climbs up through the woods. Continue along the pine-shaded track that runs alongside vineyards.

4.  Toufache: [Rosières 7.8 km, Vernon 8.4 km] This very pleasant path takes you to the source of the Toufache and then climbs along vineyards to Delbara.

5.  Delbara: [Rosières 6.8 km] Cross the road and continue along the track opposite. After 150m, leave the track on the right to take the path under the pines that leads down to the Blajoux stream. Cross the stream and then climb back up the lane.

6.  L'Estourels: [Rosières 5.5 km, Laurac 4.6 km] Pass to the left of the house, then take the dirt track alongside the vines. Go down through the pines, then cross the river again.

7.  Le Boyer: [Montréal 3.3 km, Laurac 5.4 km] Take the path that climbs, keeping to the left. It overlooks the river and joins the road.

8.  Les Blancards: [Laurac 2.1 km] After about 700m, turn left and follow the path alongside the vines. After 150m, take the path on the right which descends through undergrowth and then between vines and cherry trees. Continue along the road. After 50m, past the Pavillon des Fontaines, take the footpath downhill on your left.

2.  La Calade: [Hiking information 0.8 km] Walk along the Toufache stream and return to the same path as on the outward journey.
